How to check if a website is using HTTPS

A simple browser check for HTTPS before entering sensitive information.

1. Open the website in your browser.
2. Look at the address bar for https:// at the beginning of the address.
3. Click the lock or site settings icon to view connection details.
4. Avoid entering passwords or payment details if the browser marks the page as not secure.
